Eddington Mill River Restoration

“Thank you so much for the great job you and your team has done at Eddington over the last 8 1/2 weeks. You have transformed the landscape almost beyond recognition and I am truly amazed by the end result. The team you have were always so welcoming and friendly and it was a pleasure to meet you and your team at our weekly site meetings. Would you please send on my thanks and best wishes to all of your team and we will invite you back on site in 6 months or so when the vegetation has started to grow and bed in. Let’s hope we can create other projects along the Kenner and have you back on site to work your magic.”

This Project was comprised of two components: Sparkling Streams River Restoration, and the EA Fish Passage Project.  The Sparkling Streams project component included the enhancement of the main River Kennet channel at Eddington Mill to increase flow and habitat diversity, increase floodplain connectivity, and enhance riparian habitats. While the EA Fish Passage project component included the reconnection of the historic river channel to provide fish passage and increase floodplain activity.

Work was commenced in September 2021 and completed in November 2021.
